The truth is that these work, but only if you are getting a massive amount of traffic to offset the cost per month. Those programs are not designed for the small businessperson, but they will tell you differently because it lines their pockets.

Lets face it. We are going through hard economical times. We need to know the options that we have that don’t break the bank. Here are 3 ways to make extra income when faced with a low budget.

1. Run a Newsletter

Sounds simple and it really is but it has benefits far beyond the obvious. First, this lets you build a list of people that are interested in a specific subject. All you really have to do is keep your membership informed in that area of interest. You stay in close contact with your list members and this helps build trust. Then you can offer a product on the back end and start profiting.

2. Advertising Space

You can also sell space in your newsletter for advertising. By touting your membership numbers, you can guarantee your advertisers that their ad will be seen by every member of your list.

That is as good as gold; especially of you have a large membership. This is the easiest money you will ever make and all you need is a little web space. Run the full spectrum by offering banner ads, text ads, side bar links or even full page ads. For the banners, you can tier the charges by number of impressions. Easy peasy!

3. Setting Up Promotions

You may want to consider acting as a liaison between businesses in similar markets. Hook them up and set up a cross promotion of each other’s products. For being the ‘broker’, you would get a commission (usually 10% to 12%) of the exchange.

These are not the only methods out there just ones with little cost. Do some research and pick one that best suits you.

One of the fastest ways to earn cash online is something called ‘niche’ marketing. What you do is join some discussion focus groups. Jump in and take part in some conversations for a while.

Be a part of the group and make some contacts there. Otherwise, they will see you as an intruder looking only to make money.

While you are conversing with the group, take notes on the questions that are asked most often. Then put together something like a report, an EBook or a newsletter type thing and offer it for a small token.

This is usually around $10 or so and is surprisingly effective. You do not need to be an expert in any field to do this. Just willing to do a little research and write it down.
